Dr. McMenemy is a native Houstonian and has resided in the Sugar Land area since 1984. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston in 1979. There, he was elected to membership in Mortar Board and Alpha Epsilon Delta, honor societies for the recognition of outstanding scholastic achievement.

Following his undergraduate training, Dr. McMenemy attended the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He was elected during his junior year to membership in Alpha Omega Alpha, honor medical society. He was also the recipient of the Walter G. Sterling Award of excellence. This award, chosen by the faculty of the medical school is given annually to the senior medical student felt most to exemplify the qualities desired in physicians. A degree of Doctor of Medicine was awarded in 1984.

Dr. McMenemy continued his post-graduate training with one year of internship in Pediatrics before entering a three year Dermatology residency at the The University of Texas Affliated Hospitals. There his studies included both adult and pediatric dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and skin pathology. He became a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology in 1988.

Since completion of his training Dr. McMenemy has been elected to membership in the Texas Dermatologic Society and The Houston Dermatologic Society. He continues to provide guest lectures for the continuing education of physicians.
